Our service

Real people, introduced with care

For years, the Matrimonial Services team at Ramgarhia Sabha Southall has helped families in our community find suitable matches for their sons and daughters. What began as a paper register at the Gurdwara is now a secure online portal — but the heart of the service is unchanged: real people, personally verified, introduced with the involvement of our volunteer team at every step.

We are not a dating app

Every candidate is met in person. Every profile is checked by our team before it is published. And every connection is approved by us before two candidates are put in touch. Your privacy — and your family's peace of mind — come first.

How it works

Your journey, step by step

From registering at home to a team-approved introduction — here is how the service works from start to finish.

1

Register online

Complete our registration form from home — your details, your background, and what you're looking for in a partner. You can add your own profile photo.

Right now, registration is in person only. Our online form is temporarily unavailable while we update the register — come and see the team at the Gurdwara on a Sunday and we'll complete it with you. See how.

Prefer paper? Pick up a form at the Gurdwara on a Sunday and our team will add you to the system.

2

Visit us to become a member

Come to the Gurdwara on a Sunday (11am – 1pm) to complete your membership. We verify your identity and qualifications, take your membership fee — cash, or paid online directly to the Sabha — and approve your profile. You'll receive your unique membership ID by email.

3

Browse profiles online

Once approved, sign in and browse other candidates at your own pace. You'll see the essentials — candidate number, name, nanke name, age, height, marital status, education, occupation, dietary preference, and the age range they are looking for — but never photos or contact details. Privacy is protected for everyone.

4

Express interest

Found a profile that feels right? Express your interest through the portal — up to five at a time, because we believe in quality over quantity. They'll be notified anonymously and can respond, while our team sees the full picture and guides the process.

5

Meet us at the Gurdwara

Visit on a Sunday to view the full profiles of your matches of interest with our team — photos included — and talk it through with the volunteers who know the register best.

6

Connect

When both sides are ready, our team approves the connection. You'll then see each other's full profiles online — including photographs, where each of you consented to that at registration — and can message each other securely through the portal. We never share phone numbers or emails. Where the conversation goes from there is up to you both, with Guru Sahib's blessing.

Safety & privacy

Built to protect you

Your safety is built into how our service works — and there are sensible steps you can take too.

How we protect you

  • No photos or contact details are ever shown when browsing
  • Photographs are only ever seen by our team, by you, and — if you consented — by a member the team has approved a connection with
  • Every profile is verified in person before publication
  • Introductions are managed by our volunteers — nothing happens without a human in the loop
  • Messaging happens inside the portal; we never pass on your phone number or email
  • Your notes and responses stay private — only our team can see them

Staying safe when you meet

  • Keep personal details like your home address to yourself until you're comfortable
  • Meet in a public place, during the day, and tell family or a friend your plans
  • Arrange your own transport
  • Never send money or share financial details — genuine matches will never ask
  • Involve your families early — it's part of our tradition, and one of the best safeguards there is
  • Trust your instincts. If something doesn't feel right, step back and speak to our team
